As an acident reconstructionist for several years, I can attest to the tradegies of grade crossing accidents and / or impatience. However when I look at this photo, I see something else. I see the juxtaposition of competition for the American mobility and the representation of todays passenger railroading status as represented by the successful oil train headed for gasoline refinement that will end up in the freedom of mobility of vehicles that we have come to enjoy and the current passenger rail system when compaired to yesteryear. I'm not saying Amtrak does a bad job, just saying American travel by rail is a damaged shell of what it once was. Prayers for a speedy recovery for those injured and for peace for the family of the one who lost thier life.
