I saw this locomotive too and I agree with you....NS should follow up with your remarks and use this paint scheme. Definitely has a nice look to it.

This color scheme was used for the diesel locomotives that pulled the N&W passenger trains after the J-Class steam engines were taken out of service I believe around the mid 1960's.
