Nice freight car trucks under 666. Anyone want to place bets on how long before it gets renumbered?

Renumbering 666 won't make it any less ugly.

666 bogies will be temporary one for moving around the shop whilst finishing off work continues I should imagine! But they are almost as ugly as the Class 70's built for us in the UK! (GE Power-haul locomotive series manufactured by General Electric in Erie, Pennsylvania. )

Are these Cummins-powered rebuilds, or new units with 710's?

To be honest, I think these are quite sleek and attractive. Seems a waste to rebuild them so soon.

657-666 are new units powered by emd 710 engines. The Cummins repowers are a separate contract.

I agree with KBoes and I'll bet that it will take less than 1 year for some over zealous religious fanatic to ask for its renumbering stating that it is a "Devils's Number". Santa Fe never changed 666 on a 9-40CW. That was bold. Yea.

I thought the new paint scheme was dead and only going to be one of a kind, but here we have two more. So is GO now switching to this scheme, which is uglier than what they had in my humble opinion?

I'm under the impression that Santa Fe 666 was renumbered as noted in this photo. http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=458930&nseq=0
