Posted by Rich Brown on January 1, 2014  As much as BN seemed to "dislike" ALCOs, it's amazing that they would trust a single unit to a mainline freight. Posted by Bill Edgar on January 1, 2014  I recall BN was more open to running single units on locals in the 1970s. BN and now BNSF seem to prefer two units these days, I am assuming to minimize delays should a unit fail.
