Very nice catch, David Posted by David Pressley on January 24, 2014  Yes James. Topton is where Graham, Swain, and Cherokee Counties meet in the southwestern corner of North Carolina. This train is about 4 miles west of the Nantahala Gorge where today's GSMR scenic trains turn back. At the bottom of the mountain (10 miles further) the train switched a couple of local industries in Andrews, NC and continued another 15 miles beyond Andrews to Murphy where it tied up for the night.
