Great photo

David, aside from your usual awesome caption, other neat features of this photo include the shop-fabricated hopper car behind the jack that has been converted to woodchip service. Converted cars just like this were a common sight in the south back in the day. Also enjoy seeing the old Shephard's Purse out on Alabama 14, an establishment that every Auburn resident knew about way back when !

Awesome stuff. I'm literally about 100 yards from this location as I type this from work. Interesting to see how some things change, but some tings stay the same. Thanks David!

Masterbrand cabinets (Formerly Dexter/ Master Lock).

When I was at AU in 1970s, that plant site was a cow pasture with a dilapidated share cropper's shanty facing the tracks from just off the ROW.
