They are former Illinois Central, Iowa Interstate, D&RGW, SP, UP, GN....they've worked for lots of roads, but NP isn't one of them. Posted by Jeff Terry on October 21, 2014  The owner(s) of the St. Croix Valley like the Northern Pacific, so they based their paint scheme on the old NP paint scheme. Posted by Steve Larson on October 22, 2014  Thanks for sharing that information, Jeff. Sort of like the Monon, Its colors were those of the Purdue Boilermakers.
