Looks like they're both narrow gauge, and one is obviously abandoned. What's the story behind them.

I'm not from around there so I don't know to much about it except that at one point what is now CN's Missabe sub was double tracked. It seems a bit odd that they left the guard rails in place when they took the track up.

Actually,. it looks like both are standard gauge, one active track with the train on it, the other with the rails ripped up but with the guard rails left in place. Note the tie plates from the abandoned track's rails.
