The Cuban imports were modified to 3 and 2 axle trucks apparently. Something to do with the high axle loading on light Cuban rail infrastructure. (info from the Rapido trains website who make the models of them)

Erik, it appears you are right. After a little research it appears that the truck under the cab end is original, the truck nearest to the camera looks to be off an EMD "SD-Something." Not too surprising as these folks tend to "do what works" based on "what they can get."
