Excellent photo in a couple of respects. 1: a caboose in use (shoving platform or otherwise) it's still a caboose not stuffed and mounted in a museum or used as a visitor center. 2. The blinding cascade of precipitation from the train not only conveys terrific speed, but it also hides the NS or CSX leader, making this photo timeless. 2015 or 1975? Which is it? Great capture.

Thanks! And for the record, yes that is an actual caboose, not a shove platform. It is open for the crew to use, although I'm not sure how much "use" it gets other than a place to hide from the weather. It is still occasionally used by this job in 2017.
