Thanks for the informative picture. Also note the threaded shaft and nut with the colored mark to show any turning. Lots of those on airplanes.

On our heavy goods road vehicles, trucks, the road wheel nut has a bright (I have only seen fluorescent yellow) plastic ring with a tail fitted. Two adjacent tails are lined up, any movement of the nuts is so obvious it can be seen on a moving vehicle
