Word on the street was that these locomotives were in the process of being moved for rebuilding but progress ceased due to site materials that were hazardous to the individuals preparing their move. I would guess this picture shows some of the progress as 2872 had trucks last I knew. I had heard 3190 would be donated for restoration and that the rest with the exception of CCT 70 would be returned to service elsewhere. CCT 70 was on the list for being scrapped.
