Nice spiffy power back in 1987! I think three 3,000 hp units was more typical once it was off the ex-PRR, and they were usually GE C30-7A's like the three trailing the SD40 (probably added for cab signals on the Corridor).

Apart from the overhead catenary, do you know what are the other wires for? Is it a 220kV three phase power line over the tracks? And 25kV feeders on the side?

Great shot, Doug. Your talent is amazing. I MISS CONRAIL. I miss its blue color & the feeling of innocence when I used to gaze upon it in my youth. I love the 3 C30-7A's. You have a tremendous talent, thank you for sharing it with us.
