On the New Haven line, they have only two 8-car sets of M2s left, and those only run on an "exception" basis. The M4/M6 "Triplets" are already removed from service entirely, even though they were newer, since being newer they had not been put through the overhaul/rebuild programs the M2s had been through. The New Haven line is now essentially ruled by the M8s.
