They must've upgraded the track because six axle units were never permitted on the Burlington Sub in Essex Junction if you were headed to McNeil. They were on the wye. Past that was a no. The switch to the Burlington Sub is just beyond the 5 corners and the Essex Junction Amtrak Station.
Did this train have a caboose? Usually there is one.

Interesting, never seen any SD units on this train. .every time I see this train...(like 1 or 2 times a week on school lunch breaks) power is NECR 2048 and 3809...Nice catch!!

This was pre-arranged to do a PR photo shoot with the unit for GWI. It was a short notice shoot and in order to get a matched set of oranges AND a graffiti-free train, I opted to use the chip train for the shoot. We had planned it out to drop the 3405 at Essex Jct., as the chip train needed to be turned on Friday anyway. Train was stopped at various locations between St. Albans and Essex for photos.
