Not to crazy about the newer GE loco's. As a matter of fact, I'm really tired of the the "AC44whatevers" that seem to be on the front of 98% of all trains today. But I do like these much more than those ugly mini-van looking things currently used. It seems an "off the shelf" engine (albeit with all the head end power stuff) with taller gears would be considerably cheaper, and serve just as well?

It can be hard to get excited about some of the limited new loco types, and far fewer color schemes. Although a lot of my images were for the record, I find today I look more for the esthetics in a photo. I guess that keeps me going. I did like these "Pepsi cans" however.

Thank you for the comments, Mr. Edgar. It is funny that I remember years ago folks talking about how plain and common SD-40-2's were. So maybe the more things change, the more they stay the same. Regardless, thank you for posting so much of your work here on RP, it's a pleasure to look at.
