+Metro North & LIRR require foreign power that runs on their territory to have their pilots cut and marked in yellow paint for third rail clearence.
+The rider car is used as a safe shoving platform for the conductor during a reverse move. CSX employees are not allowed to ride Circus train flats.

Thanks for the explanation. Now that you explain I noticed the notches in the plow along with the paint. Don't have a lot of that here in Arkansas...
