This is the Hannibal Bridge. It was built originally in 1917 and was designed for pedestrian, car, and rail traffic. It existed in this form until 1956, when the Broadway bridge opened in that year. Road traffic was switched over to that bridge, and the auto deck was removed later that year. The bridge was originally built by the CB&Q railroad.
