The date and subject of this shot make me think of a question I've been wondering about. Today we see SD-40's being rebuilt on the UP, and we can still some SD-60's. But a C30-7? Notta. So my question is this: Since GE has since roared to the top of the locomotive race, it's obvious their newer products have some advantages over the competition. But, are these newer products expected to stand the test of time, or will they be like the C30-7, gone before too long?
