I like the shot but that wrap should have been left on the cutting room floor. Considering the money VIA gets from the taxpayers a bit of design planning should have been done.

Looks like a lot of planning went into the design. To get the V from the Fireman's side of the engine to match to the "A" over the engineers side to form symmetrical yellow stripes on the face of the loco. The silver is often used for anniversary colors etc. I've seen a lot worse on European railway equipment.

I like it! Minus the place names and the Canada 150 logo, I think that would make a nice every day paint scheme. Certainly visible and attention getting.
