According to Utah Rails, 3396-3399 and 3410-3414 were outfitted in 1978 to be able to lead on run-through trains in Canada (N of Eastport, Idaho) -- a process that included the addition of ditch lights.

That's cool. I didn't know that. To me this was the only interesting time period for UP as you could still find lots of engines in MKT, MP and the two UP paint schemes together.
