Hold on a moment while I pick up my jaw from the floor. Thank you for posting this wonderful image.

Wonderful photo, I have not seen too many photos of this engine in service.

I didn't realize that the Pennsy had rails that far north.

Dang! That's got to be better than 'a chicken dinner!' Total winner here... Thanks for sharing this with us, Hartland.

A rare species of the Great Lakes.... the Strait Shark ;)

@ Jeff Sell: the NYC went up there too.

Neat shot; photos of the Northern Arrow are rare; would love to see more.

Most excellent. I had no idea PRR ventured far into Michigan.

The far reaches of both the PRR and NYC have been long forgotten with all the 'plant rationalization' that was performed by PRR, NYC, ConRail and their successors. Gone and for the most part forgottine.

Hello Heartland and welcome to Rail Pictures.Net! Thank you for sharing this awesome historic image from Mackinaw City. As I'm sure you've noticed, photos from this area are rare, and photos of PRR's Baldwin DR 6-4-20 are even rarer. I'm very anxious to see what else you have to share from the Mackinaw City area or anywhere for that matter. Having grown up in Ann Arbor, MI and traveling to visit family in the Upper Peninsula once or twice a year as a kid, teen and young adult (early '60s to 1980), I am familiar with Mackinaw City and Kenville's Cafe! Again, welcome aboard and please continue to share your "gems" with us!
