I have never understood painting engines in bogus paint schemes, to each their own I guess.

Does something not look correct?? The truck set on the other end look not to be on the rail? I see no switch or other railset.....?

Thanks for mentioning that cwkotch. I think it is an interesting optical illusion -- the bottom of one wheel appears to be hidden by the fuel tank while the other is hidden behind the spring hangar..

To BN-SF: I'm not sure why you are referring to this paint scheme as "bogus". This particular paint scheme is very well known and is very popular amongst fans. Can you elaborate?

I did not notice the rear wheels! In the enlargement, one wheel is hidden by the fuel tank, the other is hidden by the spring and bracket. The low angle of the sun helps this effect!

WM didn't have GP30s hence why this paint scheme is bogus.

I sort of agree with BN-SF, however they DID do an excellent job with this unit. 501 would have been a GP35. Still, it looks nice!
