Nothing like a great rear end shot. Pretty picture of a U.P. Caboose in the vastness and desolate places that trains visit while on their journey overland to destinations. Sometimes loneliness can be very beautiful and good for the soul, give a person a little time to think of the beauty of the land and all the natural things that our earth provides us with. Cool Caboose with the ladders intact and the lanterns hanging off the sides and a lot of Wyoming to see , jointed track and old railroad boxcars rolling by, what a treasure this picture is . Better believe its chilly in the winter with the wind blowing and snow flying. Cabooses rock and roll and show us the human side of a trains operations the people...the railroaders do a great service to our country and us and are essential for the economy transporting goods to market both imports and exports from Gulf,Atlantic and West coast. Longshoreman load and unload cargo off great big ships and work closely with the railroads getting trains loaded in the correct order to ensure their destinations are placed in the right place in the train so as when that cargo reaches its destination the engines cut the section out and put it on a siding or yard then rehook to the train and continue on its route saving lots of wear and tear on the hiways and traffic congestion and pollution. Let me knot forget about the other coast up north for they also do a lot of business from the Saint Laurence Seaway and the Great Lakes to the East coast . More trains less pollution , now just think if the trains were electrified and used and recycled the power back into the wires that got sent to the power station until needed again like the Milwaukee Road did over the mountains. That was clever then and even smarter now. Why not we be cleverer now as the climate temperature is rising and etc . That's why we need more cabooses. Oh, I forgot to tell you the other reasons ... jobs , safety , and someone at the end of this 2 mile train to wave at the kids in the back of the car that are driving me naturally nuts, Wish I was topside having a 7-11 Irish cream coffee. thx.
