How is it that these spray paint artists can get their work done peacefully while a railfan photographer will get booted out or worse at the first sight of a camera?

Mr. Menard: I totally agree! However, in a confrontation, a camera-toting railfan is seldom packing a weapon - the same cannot be said, unfortunately, for the 'artist'.

It looks like the vandals are doing more for the upkeep than its present owners. Or perhaps it's a new Serra sculpture.

I wonder how long will it be before they start stripping copper off locomotives that are stored or sitting? I imagine a diesel/electric locomotive has to have several hundred pounds of copper.
