Having taken those Brienzsee ships often, I can assure you you could have hung around at the upper deck stern for a while before being reminded, gently . that your ticket was 2nd cl. Once sailing, the ship is pretty well ''open''. Great voyage, that one, as well as the nearby ThunerZee vessels between Spietz and Interlaken WEst.
That line between Luzern & Interlaken Ost is in the top 5 in Switzerland, in my opinion ( based on approximately 20-25 trips....)
