Long may it live. I hate to see these classic signals being replaced after many faithful years of service . Just think of the hundreds of thousands of trains if not many more this cantilever signal has safely signaled to as they journeyed towards their destinations. A little silver paint and ready for another 20 yrs. Paint it an saint it. A old Chinese proverb " if it aint broke don't fix it" Lets also not forget the signalmen the train dispatchers the train crews and track maintenance for their teamwork in promoting safety first. One man crews is bad news. I wish the railroads would 'man up' for safety reasons esp public safety. Its always nice to have partner at work whose got your back in case you need help.
