You can see why they have drainage issues in this area from the amount of water from your other pictures, in the ditches and the layout of the terrain. Very nice pics, hope to get up there this summer and support the cause.

Jim Boyd narrated a video about the Maine two-footers some years back. I saw it on RFD-TV Monday 4-23 and one of the scenes in that video is very close to this photo. The train was working backwards, and the men (only a few, as I recall) lifted the rails and placed them on a flatcar. The angle was different but the effects are about as good as they can get. I hope this line is truly restored to service.
