What weird-looking engines! Are they still in operation?

Jean-Marc, are a bit strange but, that's what was needed for use on metric gauge lines. There are still some locomotives in Operation.

In the early 1980's I saw 8509 pulling coal trains into Norfolk, Va many times. I believe I saw it a couple of time after the new NS logo was added.
