Its Amtrak days are numbered already as the F59PHi's have been sold to Metra in Chicago and have been heading east on the Southwest Chief as more and more Chargers arrive for Surfliner service.

Nice narrative. Thanks. Hard to believe the F59PHi's are 20 years old. They still felt new to me. I've been to Illinois recently and the Chargers are dominating the service on the IC line south to New Orleans. They're kinda funny looking but I'd have to think the crew loves that view.
