Nice shot and neat location. I would think photoshopping that car out of the picture would be something to consider.

That's pretty much one of the guidelines that I was taught early on, as well, Mike. I'm amused at the preponderance of staged shots that I see with vintage cars prominent in steam scenes. While they are interesting in today's context, I don't find them to be authentic recreations, since the old guys from that era generally would have considered an auto in the scene to reflect a lack of planning on the part of the photographer.

I agree with Mr. Lilly's comment on the staged car/train shot's that keep popping up. My father was the car guy of our family and I doubt he would have been eager to wash and polish his vintage Corvette then go park it next to something spitting out soot or oil for a photo op. A car in the shot isn't necessarily bad, but to me the recreations look so sterile. I have a shot uploaded here taken by a friend in 1966 with part of a 'Vette in the shot (not my Dad's-just coincidence) but you can tell it wasn't a show piece at the time. What you have here is fine, in my opinion. Just my 2 cents!
