Nice documentation of the Eastern Kentucky Coalfields. I've grew up in the Appalachia Mountains all my life and have seen a lot of trains come and go. It's a refreshing sight to see trains start finally loading that black gold one again.

Interesting.. CSX filed for discontinuance of service on the Merna Spur a couple years ago. Not sure if they had to re-file to establish service or not but glad to see the line is in use again.
