I never realized that such an expensive piece of equipment would come from the maker without AC. It would seem standard when the price is beyond what I can imagine. I guess the Alaska RR has to pay extra for the heating option. It seems the manufacturer wants to nickle and dime you when locos cost I'm guessing in the Millions per unit.
