If only one of them could find a home at the B&O Museum in Baltimore...

They already have way too much stuff that they can’t properly care for as it is.

I think i'd rather see them rust away on this siding than rust at the B&O museum. That place does not know how to maintain their equipment

Very SAD. I was commuting daily on MRC when these first arrived as "the LATEST & GREATEST thing." Sic Gloria transit. It would seem they could find a working home somewhere. OR, put one on display at Brunswick. Curious about the RDC(s?) in the background.

Better to be owned by someone less inclined towards eventual scrapping or rebuilding, in my book. And to be fair, I think part of the B&O Museum's problem is that they had to spend a decade repairing their prize locomotives - locomotives that had been already been restored and placed under cover - after the '03 roof collapse. That took up a lot of resources that they would have (or at least could have) otherwise invested in maintaining the outdoor exhibits. Takes a long time for a non-profit to recover from something like that.

Rich, the neighboring property is a scrap yard and the RDC is on the siding to the yard. No idea if its there for scrap or not.

Who would have thought - looks like #57 (second from the front) may have escaped after all! (see photo 803401) Still not properly preserved, but at least it will "live" to see another day.
