Trains and planes in the same day; sounds good to me! Landscape in this photo somehow gives impression of being damp.

Damp indeed! There was a hill just to my left, which appeared to offer an even better view of the train. When I tried to climb that hill, I discovered that the trail was nothing but creamy mud, which offered no traction at all. Twice, I nearly ended up on my back. After the second incident, I elected to follow my own mantra that no train picture is worth getting hurt or wrecking my gear! I slowly retreated to the position you see in the photo, which I guess a few folks think was a pretty good spot. Yes, in the previous 24 hrs there had been thunderstorms and downpours, and this very morning, rain and snow mixed. It was a tough day for photography.
