Enjoyable MoPac shots of a seldom seen route, Timothy. As I recall, the FAST ran a NW-MP-DRGW-WP route about half of the year and otherwise ran a NW-UP-SP or WP route. It was a hotshot on the Rio Grande as well. One doesn't see consists such as this anymore.

I grew up in Kansas next to MP's Kansas City to Pueblo main. MP was a "no-nonsense" outfit, and the Ford Fast was definitely "no-nonsense". Every time I saw the Ford Fast, it impressed me, left me in awe. I have seen countless trains on several railroads here in the central US in my 63 years, and few, if any, could match the experience of seeing, hearing, and feeling the passing of the Ford Fast as it flew by. I miss trains like the Ford Fast.
