Got curious about these locomotives and went Googling, found an announcement in June 2017 from GE itself.

The first part of announcement, and it was/is a big deal;
"CHICAGO and CAIRO, EGYPT; June 17: GE (NYSE: GE) announced today that it signed a Letter of Intent with the Ministry of Transportation (MoT) and Egyptian National Railways (ENR), worth $575 million, to supply 100 GE ES30ACi Light Evolution Series Locomotives that can be used for both passengers or freight rail, as well as a 15-year agreement for parts and technical support for GE locomotives in ENR’s new and current fleet. The agreement, which is the largest ever between the parties, also includes technical training aimed at improving local capabilities and technical skills for more than 275 ENR engineers and employees in region.
To highlight the importance of this agreement to Egypt, the signing was attended by dignitaries such as Egypt’s Prime Minister Sherif Ismail; H.E. Dr. Sahar Nasr, Minister of Investment & International Cooperation in Egypt; H.E. Dr. Hesham Arafat, Minister of Transportation in Egypt; Robert Beecroft, U.S. Ambassador to Egypt; Medhat Shousha, Chairman of ENR; and John Rice, Vice Chairman of GE and President and CEO of GE’s Global Growth Organization.

Thanks for this. In my prior life I was involved with the overseas transport of many locos for both GE and EMD. I can't tell from the photo or an internet search. Are they double-enders? Are the 2 trapezoidal areas on the front of the frame LED ditch lights? Are there any number boards or just the painted number on the cab door? Based on the steps on the bogie and the frame, is that the entrance to cab just aft of the painted number? If so, you'll need strong arms to board. Sorry to pepper you with questions. I wish that I had been standing beside you that day.
