This is the kind of switching that I wonder how many crews still do. With the current emphasis on making railroading idiot proof, many of the time saving but arguably dangerous activities of years past seem to be no longer within the rules. There is nothing really dangerous here so long as the crews know what they are doing, but there seems to be less and less confidence that that is the case. Understandable probably, but also somewhat sad.
