Too bad these engines have no home. I sure miss these old veterans. When I started working in North Tulsa back in 2000, I always looked forward to seeing the Port of Catoosa local going by on the old Frisco main. You could see all kinds of old BNSF power. From GP7u's on up to GP39m's. The Tulsa yard had some SD9's still working and one time in 2002 saw some SD9's leading a train south. SD40-2's could still be seen on road jobs but were starting to be relegated to yard jobs. Now, the Catoosa local is led many times by more modern GE power and sometimes you get to see SD40-2's but that's getting rare.
