It's a Zastava- A Fiat 124 that was built in Yugoslavia. Most Americans would know Zastava from a different name-- Yugo.

Great photo . I think that the car may be a Lada.

The car is a Lada. It is a car built originally in the USSR under license from FIAT, based on the Fiat 124 sedan. There is a good joke about Ladas... Q. "Why do Ladas have heated back windows?" A. " So your hands don't get cold when you are pushing it!"

Correct me if i'm wrong. The car is a Lada. These were built in the former Soviet Union and later Russia by car manufacturer Avtovaz. It was set up in the late 1960s in collaboration with Fiat. The first Ladas were based on the Fiat 124.

Looks like a Lada 1500. They were also sold in Canada. I drove a 1984 model 2104 when I was at university. Fun car.
