1:1 scale model railroading at it's best - excellent!

I really like this type of photo. It offers much more than just a great locomotive shot with dose of history. I can't help to notice what appears to be a Ford Maverick in the driveway and a Ford LTD II (the LTD II still ranks as one of the largest vehicles to ever classify as midsize) at the gates. Models that were once very commonplace and now just as extinct as the Penn Central. And what about the kids? Is there anybody among us who hasn't wondered if you were gonna be able to find that flattened penny after the train passed? I know from experience that it wasn't always easy, especially after a fast train. I suspect there must be a hill just before the crossing as I don't think I've ever seen a gate that you drive under. And last but not least, I think I am seeing one of the first Dodge Ram's bringing up the rear (please correct me if I am wrong) and yes, there it is, a real life caboose doing what it was designed for. Thanks for posting a shot where all the details produce so many great memories.

CM - Thank you. I really tried to take photos that showed "life" and how the railroad fit into the bigger picture of the community.
