If I judge it correctly, both units of the RABe 526 composition carry a 1950 mm wide pantograph head according to German and Austrian standards. As there is only one pantograph per vehicle, in contrast to the Re 420 once used in the Munich carriage trains up to Lindau, there may be difficulties on the Swiss section of an S7 service between Romanshorn and St. Margrethen. Is there enough profile freedom on this CH section? Will some RABe 526 with a wide head be created as a special fleet just for this service, but which cannot be used without restrictions on the rest of the Thurbo network?

As far is I now about 30 of Thurbo's short GTW (AK) have two pantographs and a license for D and A.
