First I did not realize, something was odd with this picture. Took a while to realize, the catenary was missing. Congratulations for those nice pics of that line. Resurrection of the complete Schwenkelberg line, also Ablach valley line nearby in 2021 and the complete Etzwilen-Singen line in 2020. That is quite some awakening lately.
But here I am always wondering, why they are not using that shortcut for Gotthard freight traffic to Singen in order to keep that out of the heavy Zürich rail traffic.

@ Olli: On the Schwenkelberg line there is a missing gap of about 4 kilometers, with now protected deep forest and houses built on the premises of the line. There are only stub tracks on both sides of the "Schipka pass". There is no chance to open the line!
