I have searched for photos of this engine for years! I remember reading about someone that built a model of it. If memory serves, the F unit had broken off just behind the cab, while the alco had gotten its cab crushed. I believe that a rock slide caused it.

Always fascinating when photos of this odd beast turn up. First time I saw one, I didn't know what to make of it.

Where there's a will, there's a way. If it worked then good for them being able to cobble it together.
