Looking at photo here & the somewhat chilly view of this location on Google Maps, this is great inspiration for a scene on a model railway layout. At left, west, side there are the railway and roadway bridges over Buckhannon River to define that edge of scene (present satellite view has an SW-something with glass end out on train crossing bridge) and at right, east, side is the grade crossing which can define that edge of scene. Pond on background offers scenic opportunities. Scene offers modeling opportunities for having it viewed from either north or south side. Looks kind of like a grave road fords river due south of a point 1/2 way between bridges and what I'm going to call the engine shed. Ya know, if I had the space and health I'd make a scene inspired by this location for my model trains!

Neat photo although that locomotive is a GM product not an Alco. Thanks for showing us.

Troy's right, this is an EMD SW something (7, maybe?). Two giveaways are the front radiator--Alco S-1 through 4 had shutters on each side of the hood at the front; and the two stacks--Alco's only had one stack with a housing or enclosure of some kind. Take a look at just about any S-2 and you'll see what I mean. Nevertheless, this is one of the best photos I've seen in a while and thanks for sharing it with us!
