That's not Erickson. That's actually the Eckert station on the river and it closed in 2020. They'll likely turn it into apartments or offices, keeping the iconic smokestacks if they can. They just need about a decade to remove everything from the inside, and the metal sections you see that are part of coal emissions. The Ottowa plant in downtown Lansing has been successfully remodeled, but the smokestacks there were removed since they were part of the main structure. The Ottowa plant was closed decades ago, and now houses an insurance company.
The Erickson plant, which is the one that closed in November, is in Delta township and is being replaced with a natural gas plant, the second for Lansing. As of November 2022 the entire Lansing area is now coal free. The plant at Michigan State University closed a few years ago.

How’d ya manage that pic from the cab with all the cameras nowadays? I’m able to get some as I work for a class II and we only have outward facing cams
