I need this.

Even if nobody else ever admits it in public I will say that these little GE 25 tonners do possess a certain cuteness factor.

My favorite form of 25-ton er. It doesn’t try to look like a bus. They are fun to run.

Makes me wonder how many other "critters" like this are still out there, perhaps abandoned or unused for many years and the wheels might be rusted to the rails. I remember seeing a GE 45-tonner (with side rods) at a company south of Davenport, IA--the engine looked to be in good shape but a look at the wheels told me otherwise. One of my personal favorite small engines was maybe a Plymouth used to shuffle covered hoppers at the former AC&F plant in Huntington, WV many years ago. It didn't have outside bearings like this--you could see the wheels--and it looked to me like a glorified riding mower or lawn tractor! Only saw it once but the memory has stayed. And I have to agree, it would be good to get some rail, ties, and ballast and have my own little short-short line with a critter like this.
