I'm glad to see these short lines finding a way to survive but so disappointed as these large parent companies are buying them up and they lose their individuality. It seems G&W is more aggressive about that than WATCO. But both are even removing evidence of each railroad's heritage along the right-of-way as well, as evidenced with WATCO removing the distinct Milwaukee Road Switch stands one by one along Wisconsin Southern rails. In this particular case, it's government action forcing their hand. I just hope this piece of history can make it elsewhere or to a museum or tourist line. Likewise with their old SP "Cadillacs".
