Built in 1848, now that is something to think about. Slide rules may not have not been around at that time, so the calculations to build this magnificent bridge was maybe done with logarithmic tables and pencil on paper, and it is still standing tall today.

Definitely not the oldest; at least in the US, that title would appear to go to Carrollton Viaduct in southwest Baltimore, MD (opened 1829). Thomas Viaduct in Elkridge, MD is also older (opened 1835).

“… if only they ran in daylight more often…”. - we call those “Gluckman’s”. Very nice! With so few daylight trains, you would think it would be a great location to set up a tourist line.
