Since those GP60Ms were built in May 1990, I'm sure that shot is not from May of '73. Being the first two and still paired with the "Superfleet" FP45s, my guess is 1990, but the GP60s experienced some paint defects that led to repaints as well, so always possible this was a "post repaint" shot from a later date, but my bet is 1990.
I thought the cabs on these with the "off center" headlights were kind of hideous. If this was what all "safety cab" units were going to look like, I would have been pining for "standard cabs" for the rest of my life. Fortunately, when the GE B40-8Ws and C40-8Ws were delivered, they had a much better looking cab. Ditto for the 6-axle EMD "safety cabs."

The date has been corrected, and was correct in the photo's caption the entire time. It just didn't take when I entered it in the data. (That is, I may have missed it.)
As for the off-center headlight ... I've heard a lot of griping about those over the decades, but I kind of liked them because (a) they were different, and (b) symmetry isn't the be-all-end-all for everything. And I still like them. (Perhaps I am just a bit off-center myself...)
